TENERIFE

Tenerife

Buzzing resorts, non-stop entertainment and blissful, vast beaches - they can all be found in Tenerife.

Playa de las Americas & Playa de Fanabe

Playa de las Americas is a great choice if you want to spend your day on the beach, in the water or conserving your energy for the vibrant night-life. The resort has a brilliant array of beaches, and there’s a marina/working port and waterfront with a couple of restaurants and bars. At sundown, the resort lights up along the main neon-lit bar strip, in many of the British-style clubs. An easy 1.5 kilometres from the centre of Playa de las Americas is the quieter district of Playa de Fanabe which allows you to base yourself somewhere less lively, yet still be close by to the action.

Costa Adeje

With the amazing spectacle of Mount Teide forming the backdrop to this resort you will be surprised to find a modern resort in such a natural setting. Costa Adeje lies just three kilometres from Playa de las Americas, and you’ll find yourself in a resort that is quieter than its party hard neighbour but still with plenty to offer. It boasts a lovely small sandy beach and a couple of excellent waterfront restaurants. The atmosphere is low-key and classy, and if you want a proper day’s sunbathing or swimming, the nearby beach of Playa del Duque, consisting of a stunning stretch of sand complete with watersports, is an easy 600 metres away.

Los Cristianos

Once a quaint fishing village, Los Cristianos has developed into one of Tenerife’s favourite holiday haunts and has a relaxed and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Especially popular with families, it still retains elements of its old-world charm. Nearby there is a sheltered crescent of sandy beach lined with numerous pavement cafés and bars, plus a pedestrianised centre where you can browse through the many shops and weekly market. There is also a golf course nearby. The resort’s harbour area, with its excellent seafood restaurants and array of boat excursions is another hub of activity.
